Live at Jive was recorded live in Adelaide during his big kids tour of 2008.

The record captures the exuberance of the now grown-up children who came to sing along with all their favourite songs from the Newspaper Mama, Toffee Apple, Spaghetti Bolognaise and Chopsticks albums of their childhood.

Peter said "I'm so thrilled that Australian kids who grew up with my music and are now 20 something are coming along to music venues and singing the songs all over again".

The album notably features Combe's son Tom Combe, and one of his daughters Emily Combe, as well as Phil Cunneen, who had been playing with Combe since the early days.
