Lyrics

CHORUS
Sits by the phone making lots of phone calls
Sits by the phone making lots of phone calls
Sits by the phone making lots of phone calls Daddy

When I come home after school
He’s always on the phone
At least that means my Daddy cool
Will never be alone – he

CHORUS

He loves to hear that telephone ring
You never know who it might be
It could be a big shot from overseas
But then again it could be me – he

CHORUS

He just can’t resist makin’ a call
He can’t leave the thing alone
As soon as he walks in through the door
He picks up the telephone – he

CHORUS

One day Dad got an answering machine
Which takes all the calls instead
So when he’s out doing a show
Or maybe just lying in bed – it

Sits by the phone taking lots of phone calls
Sits by the phone taking lots of phone calls
Sits by the phone taking lots of phone calls Daddy
